There is no sure proof plan when trying to sell independent garden centers or hardware stores because there are so many of them and even though they may belong to a co-op or buy from a distributor or buying group they are still "independent" and they make independent decisions so, more or less, you have to sell them one at a time. We usually recommend that a supplier concentrate their resources on a region at a time or selected independent retailers at a time. Insure your success with them , then move on to the next group.
