There is no way to be sure as to why cannabis oil has failed to - TopicsExpress

There is no way to be sure as to why cannabis oil has failed to cure some cancer patients while succeeding with others. There is no doubt that cannabis can and has successfully killed cancer in many cancer patients (including stage 4s of various cancer types) but the heart breaking failures should not be ignore either. In fact it is the failures that we should look at more closely as we may learn more from them. It may be that cannabis is ineffective against some types of cancer, it may be that the failures were the result of improperly made oils. There are at least 3 cases where a possible reason for failure was insufficient decarboxylation. For those who do not know, decarboxylation is the process of converting raw cannabinoid acids, like THCA, into neutral/activated cannabinoids, like THC. This process is vital as the it is only the activated THC that is proven to kill cancer cells, while the raw THCA is unproven in this regard and is likely less effective, if effective at all, against cancer. Decarboxylation can only be guaranteed by cooking the cannabis at the appropriate temperatures for the appropriate times (exact times vary but between 30 minutes and an hour at between 110 to 130 degrees Celsius is considered optimal and should complete full decarboxylation with minimal degradation). It is my humble opinion that the failures with cannabis oil should be examined in as much detail as possible. Obviously the success stories are vital to showing the world that cannabis can kill cancer so that we can hope to one day have proper access to this medicine with out the obstructions of criminal prohibitions. But it is also important to examine the failures and make people aware of them. This could help reveal vital information that could help save more lives. If cannabis is ineffective against certain cancers then we need to know so that other methods can be focused on for those particular cancers. If other factors, like improper decarboxylation, are the reason for the failures then this needs to be known so that everyone is made aware of ALL the steps necessary to maximise the quality of the medicines they produce. Though there are, inevitably, dishonest people involved in the cannabis movement, for the most part the cannabis community are champions of truth and it is in this mandate that we should be especially diligent. Wilful blindness and selective cherry picking of the evidence is a favoured tool of the propaganda machines that have schemed to keep this medicine outlawed. We must make sure that we on the other side do not allow ourselves, whether it be through complacency or intent, to be guilty of similarly misleading information. It is with this in mind that I ask all involved in the cannabis movement, especially those involved in promoting its cancer killing potential, to help spread proper information of vital aspects, like decarboxylation, and to please not ignore or dismiss the heart breaking failures. Even if it disappoints as a cure, cannabis is an undoubtedly vital medicine for all cancer patients and provides numerous palliative benefits. But if we want to maximise the curing potential we need to look at all the factors and all the cases with diligence.
