There is not a single day when we are not completely dependent on the mercy of God . We do not gain salvation by any merit of our own , and we do not succeed in our work for God because of our innate abilities and goodness .Everything that we accomplish , everything that we achieve is a direct result of Gods patience and forbearance that keeps us from utter destruction . When it comes time for us to count our blessings and give thanks , Gods mercy should be at the very top of our list .
