There is not going to be much of a change in the unemployment rate over the next six months. This assumption is supported by the last quarters 4.0% annualized GDP growth rate which was extraordinarily strong. Weve seen six straight months of 200,000+ jobs created in the economy and unemployment, which is currently at 6.2%, is likely to fall to 5.9% by the end of 2014. If the economy continues to grow at its current rate, the unemployment rate should then decline to 5.6% by the end of 2015.
