There is nothing as a no comment, no opinion, no side. It is not an intelligent move to not vote, not speak out. It is not smart to not have a say. Nothing irritates me more than a person who is eager to please everyone. Every time you back out from a debate, it is only because you dont want to be disliked or challenged or opposed. That is sad. There is nothing wrong in taking a stance. It although is completely different to expect a move from the other party because of their association with you. Them being not on your side is also a decision they have come to and it should be respected. Neutrality is wise to avoid conflict that can be harmful to the other in vain. Neutrality is appreciated to defend a poor mans honor. It is plain cowardice to be neutral because you dont want any discomfort. It is cowardice because you dont want to harm your friendships, lower your benefits or appear rude. If the situation demands you having a personality then by all means embrace it. Life demands discomfort. If you cant take on some mental pressure then good luck to you, really.
