There is nothing more nostalgic than to be given the opportunity to run in the place youve always called home. Two weeks ago, I was able to run and visit memorable places in my hometown. I run around Carmen and PN Roa where I spent my childhood playing bato lata and jolens with sipon on my nose always thinking that it was condensed milk that is good for licking. I was able to visit Opol where beaches is still accessible as it is only 30 minutes away from the city proper. I run around Hayes Street where we usually shoot the breeze when we were in college. I was able to cross the bridges of Carmen and Marcos and have a peek of the historical but infamous CDO river which took numerous lives of friends and relatives during Sendong. Of course, my run would not be complete if I will not be able to visit my alma mater, XU. So much good memories came rushing in recalling my days in my school. Blessed to have the chance to run around my hometown. It helps me reconnect and to never forget where I came from.
