There is nothing quite like watching the enthusiasm of a newly born again christian, as we all once were. The child-like faith and love and general excitement can be very contagious, and a new christian is great to be around. However , no matter how exciting that initial encounter with Christ, is for us, eventually God wants us to grow in our faith. He wants us to become increasingly rooted and established in Him, and to move towards maturity.. It is no longer cute to see a person who has walked with the Lord for a lot of years but has neglected to grow. God wants us as time passes, to move from craving the pure milk of the gospel(which all new christians need)--to progress to being able to digest the meat of His word.---- ., ever learning deeper truths and progressing also, in our relationship with Him. If we are not prepared to do this, then we will miss out on Gods best for our lives, as He wants to take us ever deeper in our relationship with Him--That happens only when we are willing to grow up in Him.
