There is now a 13th Floor Elevators / Roky Erickson Group on Facebook. Below the link to join the group is my first message on the new group explaining why I created it. JOIN THE GROUP HERE: https://facebook/groups/229793857206488 The original, Texas Psych anything, group on the Internet was a Roky Yahoogroup that I started back in 1998. This was the first place where everybody could meet and discourse. The golden period of that group was 1998 - 2001, a couple of years. We started the Roky CD Club, with the help of Rokys Lawyer and Mom, and saw to it that Roky was first paid for his recorded work. People joined including Danny Thomas and Doug Walden. It was great. Then egos took over and the group split apart like a seed pod. After almost twenty years in these Internet groups I think it is part of the process. Yahoo shut down the original Roky group back in 2004. I looked on Facebook yesterday and saw that there was no 13th Floor Elevators group! So I decided to start one. This was done primarily from nostalgia purposes but Im going to *work* this group.
