There is one question i always get asked. How do I get to play at X & X Club? I always pause for a few seconds to think who I am dealing with, because the answer changes somewhat. The gist of it goes like this. You need to be where you wanna be. In other words be involved with the people you wanna associate yourself with. Lend yourself to what they doing whether its sharing their posts or simply commenting. Definitely support as many of their events as possible and a simple introduction can go MILES. Don’t hit them with the HERE IS MY DEMO COULD YOU HAVE LISTEN. Find social and conversational common ground. Let that relationship grow with time. If you have value you will get where you wanna be. Remember its not JUST about the music anymore its what you can do with the music. #TipForTheDay
