There is only one muscle required to slam. It’s the slam muscle. Some poets are talented writers, others are gifted performers, but they only work the one muscle when they slam. For every song, every monologue, every well told joke, each irony you can create, you work a new muscle. In order to create like he did, he trained different muscles and his training informed his other creative endeavors. For every creative act you see through, you then have the experience to apply to the next act, you find wisdom every time you go out on a limb creatively.
