There is so much controversy about tests, and Health Canada itself has made it clear that lab tests for Lyme Disease are not to be used as the main diagnostic tool. I have had 2 Canadian tests...both of which failed to detect this disease, but have had 2 US tests that did. I paid for the 2nd test (almost $1k USD) because it was the gold standard at the time. They grow the bug..literally culture your blood sample to grow a colony of Borrelia Burdorferi. There are many attacks on the tests, including the type I had done at Advanced Labs.
