There is so much hype surrounding the allegations of marital unfaithfulness and rape charges levelled against Mr. Zwelinzima(excuse the pun) Vavi. I suppose to a certain extent the hype is justifiable considering he is a very decorated leader. Just yesterday a friend and I were taking a closer look at the whole issue of "The Significance of Character in Contemporary Leadership Practice". So as I listened to the radio this morning, hearing how people from various spheres of life commenting on this issue, especially the moral decay evidenced in leaders today...bosses having inappropriate relations with their subordinates...etc, a thought struck my mind. How do we as pastors, clergy, men[and/or women] of the collar measure with regards to the issue of character, especially that of integrity? IS IT POSSILBE for us to live above reproach and never have even a single moment where we find ourselves cheating, whether physically or emotionally, and being unfaithful to our partners??
