There is some confusion with certain ppl of faith who have this - TopicsExpress

There is some confusion with certain ppl of faith who have this tendency or rather bias outlook that when fellow people of faith go and have a good time on public holidays or certain occasions they are celebrating the faith of others. They have even gone to the extent of proclaiming that by wishing a person from a diffrent faith is going to send u to hell fire. My issue with this is that these very people have assumed many things without having the decency to actually ask the question; are u celebrating the glories of a diffrent faith?. Its a very straight forward question which deserves an even answer. But no they have to be judge and jury and lay down their condemnations based on those factless assumptions. Wishing someone merry Christmas does not make u a Christian. Saying happy deepavali does not make u Hindu neither does saying Gong Xi fa cai make u Taoist, and saying Selamat Hari Raya does not make u a Muslim. If that was the case than my argument would be that these ppl of assumptions should reject the holidays that comes in hand with those festivals. I mean isnt accepting a holiday meant for a different religion celebration kind of going against what they are preaching. Its very ironic that they cant distinguish between the two. Just to get a few things clear here. We live in a Country where there is a limited number of days in a calendar year where we have the privalage to spend time with our family and friends. Im sure that many people would agree with me that we are spending quality time and not celebrating a religion that is diffrent from ours. I would strongly suggest to these said people to not go down that road and impose your personal beliefs on others. It goes against all relgion teachings of tolerance and not being judgemental. On the other hand every individual have the freedom of their own personal beliefs. Rather than impose it on others why dont u do everyone a favor and limit it to ur own households. Before u pass judgement based on questionable assumptions, look in the mirror and ask urself this very simple question; am i doing something that is good or am I committing sin because of my ignorance and misperceptions. Do not spoil someones happiness because u have altered ur personal views to ur own liking. I may be wrong in certain areas but that does not make u right either. Just because u follow every rule in the Book does not make u better than me. Rather it should give u more patience and understanding to ur fellow brethren of faith. #dontmakeyourproblemmyproblem
