There is some great pride to be had, against the snettering and snickering of politicians, rebellious Scots, and other irrelevancies, when you can see and hear before your very eyes, in the company of REAL men and women, from HM Queen to the youngest Army Cadet, the tribute of a then 15 year old who was one of the first to storm Normandy beaches on D Day, 70 years ago in 1944. Now very much the old serviceman, now very much one you might pass by in the street - now he stands in the centre of the Royal Albert Hall, singing for his monarch, his comrades, his friends, and those long since forgotten. He is bigger than all of us. We salute him. youtu.be/JOolfjkLoJw
