There is something really wrong with this article. The content clearly focuses on the difficulty of looking for a job, of holding the job, and how $3000-$4000 might be too high an expected salary to demand however the title says otherwise. Why is the spotlight on the SIM THIRD CLASS HONOURS DEGREE? In the article, during the first few para, they intentionally stated the origins of the degree which is The University Of London (UOL), external degree obtained in Singapore. Which leads me to think, what is the purpose of this article? To inform the public of how difficult it is to look for a job now or to inform the public that a private degree is worthless? In my opinion, whether you hold a local degree or a private degree, in times like this, anyone will face difficulty in looking for a job, maybe more so for private degree holders but there shall not be much of a difference if there is indeed any difference. Please do not discriminate against any graduates, irregardless of institution. In times of extremes, we take extreme measures. In the article we can also tell the attitude of this interviewee, he declined job offers as a financial advisor, it says alot about his failure and in all honesty, I hope he continues to rot without a job. Amen. FYI. Financial Advisors are one of the highest paid executives. If you have what it takes then dont back down from challenges, always seeking the easier route out. Thumbs down to this.
