There is something that attracts me to this southern states, meisepipi, Alabama , Georgia... I LOVE reading till this day, and William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Harper lee, where some of my favorites, Tom Sawyer, to kill a mocking bird, light in August... And to think I could walk among the places where this things occurred and where they got their inspiration from, the bigotry and ignorance, the hangings of black men(strange fruit) the goins on of those days, and how this white southerners, part of that era, decided to put in paper for the world to see, the bigotry that was permeated into the people as a way of life... To see the buildings, the places, the faces of some that where either watching the hangings, or hiding from them as children because it was a family that was been hanged.... Its an experience that is not easy to explain. You dont know this country for real until you been in the places and spoke to the old folks I have, I dare approached them and ask questions, specially the blck folks are so willing to tell their truth... And it hurts your soul to know that the bigotry and racism still exists under the carpet, under the rug.... Never mind you- said one whit lady who heard me asking her neighbors one time--/ and I looked at her and said-/ maam your about 60 or 70? Arent you!? If I look at some of the pictures that shows a black man hanging from a tree, is your face as a child part of the crowd?!!!!.... Think about it folks... The south is full of hush hush dont tell!!
