There is something unbelievably special about children who are raised in poverty but understand their parents struggle to make ends meet...they are so ever grateful for the simplest of gifts...like this cutting board and overwhelming grateful when they receive something bigger. I come from that same place...gifts were really hard some years for my mom to afford for us and I NEVER complained or wished for something that was beyond our means. We were thankful, SO thankful for the smallest things. Im fortunate to have learned this lesson,because it truly taught me the value of a dollar and how to be gracious and grateful for the simple things in life and the important things.
