There is the expected hive of activities at the Kuching Waterfront on the eve of the Sarawak Regatta 2014. Technical crews get their final briefing and, canopies of all shape and sizes being put to the finishing touches. Boats are signed off and towed to the respective stations for the qualifying heats tomorrow and day after. If you are headed to Kuching in the next four days, basically you can watch the regatta/dragonboat race during the day, savour EATOF Food Fair; 10am-10pm (check our previous post), mingle with the local populace along the whole stretch of Carpenter Street for the Moon Cake Festival do (4-8 Sept nightly) or watch the Kuching Street Parade; Saturday 6th starting from 8pm. The best position to watch the parade will be at the grand stage stretch in front of the Hilton Hotel. After all these, we think it is appropriate to use this hashtag #KuchingWaterfrontAlive !
