There is the nature and will of humans, and then there is the objective truth. They are opposite, yet one in the same: Human nature says, Eat and you will live, and I assure you, you do want to live, and so we eat. Objective truth says, If you eat, you will live; if you eat not, you will die; either way, the universe is what it is and is not what it is not, and you may be part of that, or you may not be. But we humans are the universe, or part of it at least. Human tendencies seem to be at odds with natural laws, but what could be more natural than our very own nature, crafted by the hands of the greater Nature itself? The nature that makes us want to explore the universe is the same nature that creates so many barriers and prevents us from doing so. Its as if Nature intentionally gave us curiosity about the very traits that it refuses to reveal to us. The human will, which arises from our natural urges and desires as organisms, is indeed just as natural as the workings of gravity or the properties of mass. Its just a bit more complicated with us.
