There is too much ignorance masquerading as social commentary in Nigeria, especially on social media! Does anyone know any federal system in the world where the federal parliament legislates LG autonomy? For instance US Congress saying that NY City is autonomous of NY State and will receive allocations direct from the federal government? That system immediately becomes a unitary system! I completely support the APC governors on this issue-if LG "autonomy" is to be legislated, it can only be done by the state government. The effect of adopting the silly proposal by the House of Reps is to turn Nigeria into a unitary state and drive the final nail into our federal structure.
