There once was a man named Edward Madge… Edward stood only 57 and he always wanted to be of greater stature. Therefor, Edward Madge insisted on wearing platform shoes and a large (very high sitting) cowboy hat. As a result, his form usually towered over everyone in his surrounding. He moved to Ohio where people referred to him as Tall Edward Madge. Over time though, this was shortened to Tall Madge. Thus, the city where he dwelled is now called TALLMADGE, Ohio.
