There seems to be a lot of hubbub again this year about saying Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holidays, Seasons Greetings, etc. I, for one, will continue to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS, because I am sensitive enough to know that I have friends that are Catholic, Baptist, Jewish (the list goes on), and some people who just dont believe. Not everyone celebrates Christmas. I dont think there is anything wrong with wishing everyone a nice holiday greeting, regardless of the wording. Do you think that someone made up the words Happy Holidays just to irritate the Christian community? I doubt it. If you are offended when I say Happy Holidays to you, then just ignore me and dont respond in kind. We are all different people and have different beliefs, and as such, shouldnt be pigeon-holed into saying Merry Christmas just to appease those who think all other religions are unworthy of their recognition. My guess is that God would be very happy for any type of nice, special, greeting that people use to address each other. I bet hes not hung up on the actual words.
