There seems to be a lot of unnecessary bandwidth devoted to this one to one meeting of a certain ved vaidik with a certain hafiz sayeed.. both irrelevant dramatis personae.. we at bharat ke liye need to put all speculation at rest.. here is why... Ved Vaidik in his own words has no links with either the BJP or the RSS .. in fact he is more close to the Congress than anyone else.. That the Congress is deceiving people by bashing Ved Pratap Vaidik for his one-on-one meeting with JuD chief Hafiz Saeed became evident when the journalist-turned-activist came out with a statement which has put the grand old party in a tight spot. “I feel bad about this because I have worked with Congress. They are my brothers, my own people,” Vaidik said. Tearing into the baseless allegations by ‘secular media’ that Vaidik is close to RSS, he himself steered clear, “I have no relation with RSS. I am closer to Congress than BJP.” Not to forget that Vaidik went to Afghanistan with the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in 2005. During the junket, he attended a personal dinner with Princess Lima where Rahul Gandhi was the only other guest. It’s not only the Congress, Vaidik has close ties with AAP and Left parties. In the past, he vociferously argued for repealing the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in Jammu & Kashmir.
