There simply isn’t enough time in our Sunday services to give you all of the details of events that are coming up at Bridgetown, so this email is an attempt to get you up to speed on what’s happening. Grab that calendar, and plug in these dates!! This Saturday: Free Community Yard Sale at Patton Street. We need volunteers to help with the yard sale. It begins at 8 am & should last until around noon or until everything is gone. If you would like to help, please contact Tina Tatum at ttatum33@gmail. Parents of Teens & Teens… We are really excited about having the ability now to have student ministry on Wednesday nights at Bridgetown. This week, we have met with several of our youth leaders and you need to know that everything is falling into place for Bridgetown to begin a really good youth group for our teens. It all begins next Wednesday (Sept. 10) from 6:30-7:30 with a kickoff party in the youth room. We need for you to help get teens there on Wednesdays! Have you registered for your Bridgetown University class yet? Classes begin next Wednesday at 6:30. If you have not yet registered or if you need a list of available classes, please email David Owen at daow1063@gmail. Bridgetown 101 is this Sunday at 11:30 at Deer Run. This class lasts for about an hour and a half and lunch is provided. In this class, you will learn about the mission and vision of Bridgetown Church and how you can be part of that vision. Also, you’ll learn about our structure, our beliefs, and what it means to be a member. This class is one of the requirements for becoming a member at Bridgetown. If you would like to attend this class on Sunday, please email Jeff Lynch at [email protected]. 201 & 301… 201 is scheduled for Sunday, September 14 and 301 is scheduled for Sunday, September 28. In 201, you will learn about how to live out the Christian life in a real, relevant daily relationship with Christ that will change your life. In 301, you will find out how God shaped you. You will discover your personality type and your spiritual gift(s). Both classes will meet on their scheduled day at 11:30 (following the worship service) and lunch is provided. Please email Jeff Lynch at [email protected]. to register. Ladies: You don’t want to miss out on the Beth Moore simulcast at Westover Baptist Church on September 31st. The cost is $10 and that covers your lunch. This is a great time for the ladies of our church to go to an outing together and have some fun. You will LOVE Beth Moore! If you want to go, please register on Sunday at the information table in the lobby or contact Lisa Gibson at lgibson@westoverministries. We want to celebrate with the volunteers who helped with the construction at Deer Run. We are planning a celebration “get together” on Friday, September 12th at David & Susan Pritchard’s home. In order to get a headcount for food, please either sign up to come in the lobby on Sunday, or email me at [email protected]. Have you always wanted to be able to help teach children? In our brand new BTown Kidz World, every week our leaders not only teach children, but they play with them and invest in their lives by sharing the love of Christ. We saw quickly this past Sunday that our BTown Kidz World is VERY attractive to kids, so now’s the time for you to get involved! If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity at BTown Kidz World, please email Melissa Lynch at lynchmob307@gmail. The Big Serve… October 4-11. This year we are partnering with several other churches in the region who will take one week to serve our communities through service projects. We are working to identify the projects now and we will be giving you more information soon. Join us in praying that this will be a great time of showing Danville the love of Christ through service projects. Baptism… we are beginning to work out the details for our next baptism at Bridgetown and we are really excited about being able to have our first baptism in our worship service (no more going to the Y!) If you want to be baptized, please email me at [email protected]. Ok… so that’s a lot. I hope you will get the dates on your calendar and get ready for all that God is unfolding right in front of us. This weekend, we’ll continue our Pray First series and Sunday would be a great day to bring a friend as we are planning to teach you a very practical, very easy way of praying that can really be life-changing. Have a great “rest-of-the-week” and I hope to see you on Sunday! JL bridgetownchurch.org/?p=694
