There was a great response from all my old and new friends from the last posting I did. I better follow up with what I would consider classic Alaska images. As you can see in the first image, this small boat harbor has a walkway for the entrance light, as well as a break wall with a road that has a series of fence posts and cables. For some reason, the eagles like to gather here. In the Aleutian Islands, there are no trees, and in none! No bushes, no way to get a higher view, that the eagles so desire. Sitting on theses posts, is about as high as they can get, without flying. And is why we find them in our rigging when we get up in the morning. This day I recall, was so calm, it felt so good after so many windy days. And the snow was coming sown in huge flakes, and all these eagles were just hanging around, like for no reason, each had a spot, and they were quiet, without fuss....just a classic quiet, beautiful setting....:-) #JackMolanPhotography
