There was a post floating around social media today. It was in the wake of the tragic passing of Robin Williams and it called people who committed suicide selfish and had a very damaging perspective of the realities of depression. Luckily, that guy doesnt get the last word & he doesnt get to define us - the brave, faithful people in the church who daily walk through life with mental illness. I wrote a post today about my own suicide attempt, what its actually like in the dark, and what we as the Church should be doing.
