There was a recent thread about The Mandalin Bistro near the Courts/New Kipa in Calis. We had drinks there this afternoon with friends and intend to retun for a meal soon. It is a lovely place and quite a little oasis of calm. The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, chicken shish 20tl, Bodrum Kebab (my favourite) 32tl and they were advertising burger, chips salad etc or pizza chips salad etc at lunch at 14-18 tl, if you fancy a try. There is a Christmas meal planned and a New Year evening, with an option to stay over. We were treated to a tour of the rooms, which are newly completed with lovely bathrooms and flat screen TVs. Yusuf is very attentive and the dining area is a restaurant with room to move and comfortable chairs. There is also a lovely wood fire and sofas to sit on. For those interested there are 2 ground floor bedrooms and it appears to be a wheelchair friendly place although people will need to confirm personally if it suits their needs.
