There was a slick coating on our driveway and black ice on the roads yesterday morning after a plunge in temperatures and an early morning squall. It took the life of another relatively inexperienced young driver on his way to our local high school where he played soccer and, more recently, football. Most of us are lucky. We may skid off an icy road a few times in our early driving years but never hit anyone or anything. It could still happen. Be careful driving. Hug your kids every time they head out the door and tell them you love them.
