There was a small conflict between a father and his prospective son-in-law, the prospective son-in-law married his daughter eventually after a tumultuous courtship and though the father wasnt in favour of his daughter marrying into that family but with fusillade of outbursts from the side of the other family the father acquiesced to this marriage though nonchalantly. The daughter finally parked bag and baggage and left to live with the husband, the son-in-laws father quoting the bible that a man will live his house and live with his wife and they will become one flesh. Years passed and there was happiness in this young couples home and one day all suddenly this young couple had an uncontrollable argument and as seconds ticked by the argument gathered momentum until the young man chased the young beautiful girl out of their home, threatening to kill her. The girl had no place to run to but her parents home and her parents received her cordially, The parents waited to hear what would have gone wrong to have generated their disintegration. Finally this young man came with his parents and accused the wife of being lazy, unable to cook, keeping their house very untidy so their sons intention was to dissolve the marriage as she couldnt even do laundry. The father of the daughter listened to his son-in-laws story with keen interest and when he finished retorted that, when their daughter left their home for her matrimonial home, they were always seen outing, eating in restaurants, in hotels and almost all functions. The father then accused the son-in-law of retraining his daughter not to do what they trained her to do and for that much he was responsible for their daughters complete change of behaviour and for that they were suing him and his parents jointly and severally for an amount of 450 million dollars, this time the girls parents citing an example from the bible that, a child must be trained the way you want him to be and when he grows up will never deviate from that training. According to them, their daughter had to be retrained and whether that was going to be possible or not was to be determined later. The divorce case was immediately arraigned to court which the girls parents easily won. Moral of the story: If a man trains a woman the way he wants her to be he assumes all responsibilities of her behaviour during and after marriage dissolution
