There was a time when I assumed Chiropractic could cure everything from baldness to ingrown toenails. Had a lot of Chiropractic adjustments discovering I was wrong on at least one of those assumptions. Seriously, throughout my 40+ year career I discovered most people associate the things doctors treat with their method of treatment. Example....medical doctors ask whats wrong and provide an injection or a prescription for pills to fix that problem. Since Chiropractors pop your back folks associate Chiropractors with neck and back problems. In reality Chiropractors believe the well being of the human body is directly proportional to its nervous system. Simply....if the nerve supply to/from the brain is altered the body will not function properly. The most likely place for nerve impulses to be interrupted is as at the little opening between the vertebrae. So...if one or more vertebra are misaligned in their relationship to the one above or below the the organ supplied by that exiting nerve will not function properly or be dis-eased. A case in point. Many years ago a friend, colleague and mentor or mine received a call from a lady who was at her wits end. Dr. Thomas.....I have been menstruating for 11 consecutive weeks. Ive tried everything to no avail. A patient of yours suggested I call you to see if Chiropractic care could help me. My friend encouraged her to come in for consultation and Chiropractic examination. His examination revealed a suspicious spinal problem in the lower back....the very area where exiting nerves supply the reproductive organs. In his most professional and dignified voice my friend said well Arvella, I think we should try Chiropractic adjustments and just see what happens....you certainly have nothing to lose. In reality Tom was absolutely, 100% positive the treatments he would administer would be of tremendous benefit. He initiated Chiropractic adjustments. Within 3 hours the severe flooding had slowed to simple spotting. Within 24 hours the whole shooting match had come to a complete stop. This, after 11 straight weeks of suffering. The point of sharing this actual case is to again reiterate one can never say everything possible has been done unless Chiropractic treatment is included. The human body is quite capable of curing virtually every disease known to man so long as that disease process has not exceeded what is known as the limitations of matter.
