There was an open day today at The Crescents Community Centre, where Club Chairman Ritchie Jeune, Director Gary Graham and Head of Media Chris Knight presented the indicative plans for the redevelopment of the Avondale Schools into a football ground for Kettering Town Football Club. During the afternoon local residents, who had been invited to attend the event, were able to view the plans that the club has for the site and share any concerns they have, voice their opinions or ask questions. Everyone who attended was also asked to complete a form indicating whether they would support an application or not. 77 local residents voted, with 75% of the feedback in FAVOUR of us developing the site. Other residents of the town also voted during the afternoon, and when including their votes the level of support went up to over 85%. This doesnt make it a foregone conclusion as a formal application now has to be made, but with the local community supporting us, it will help. More to follow..... :-)
