There was commotion at Choma Municipal Council Offices this morning after Council Workers at the Local authority demanded to lock up the Office of the Town Clerk demanding for their three months salaries and the situation was only calmed down when a group of Zambia Police Officers were deployed to Council premises to maintain law and order Council workers at the Choma Municipal Council have threatened to lock up the Office of the Town Clerk demanding for their three months salaries and accusing their Town Clerk of failing to run the Council A sky fm news crew that rushed to the Council found the Council workers sun bathing outside the council premises and demanding for the removal of the Town clerk who they accused of not able to discharge his duties at the Council The council workers who spoke on condition of anonymity told SKY FM news that the Town Clerk has failed to discharge his duties as he always sit and makes fake claims of traveling to Lusaka for Council duties The workers disclosed that they have resolved to lock up the Office of the Town Clerk accusing him of been selfish and not putting the plights of the Council workers at heart They disclosed that they have families and house rentals to settle but were finding it hard to work as their landlords were always on their throats demanding for rentals. The workers appealed to the Minister Of Local Government to issue that they transfer the Town Clerk back to Monze and bring in someone who will live to the expectations and has visionary of the Choma Municipal Council as the provincial Capital City of Southern Province And efforts by SKY FM News to get a media comment from the Town Clerk failed as he was shield off from the public by a group Of Zambia Police Officers who were deployed at the Council premises to provide security to the Town Clerk,
