There was no joy in Brea last night as our 2 Majors Division All Star teams came up a little short in their must win games. The 12 year old team had their opportunities but just couldnt come up with that one big hit and lost a close one 3-0. If lots of scoring is what you like then you should have been at the 11 year olds game last night. There were plenty of big hits and we even hit a couple of home runs. One of which can be described in 2 words, crack-thud! That was the sound of the ball hitting the bat and then the ball hitting the wall beyond the fence 2 seconds later. The boys battled back from an early 3 run deficit and exchanged big hit after big hit with their opponent. It took extra innings to decide the winner and we just couldnt get the break we needed. Great game form both teams. Though the season is now over for both teams I want them to know that I am very proud of the way they battled and represented Brea Little League and the City of Brea in this tournament.
