There was no messing about last night, although extended - TopicsExpress

There was no messing about last night, although extended highlights, it was straight to it. I was expecting the usual kick up and down the pitch till something gives. Then, 23mins into the game and Mario Götze fires a long shot and knocks it into the net, it was so wow, as if that ball grew a pair of wings and flew into that nest. I was not expecting that. And, 40mins on, to make it a second goal, how many chances do anyone have to score, Arjen Robben played his classic tactics, taking the ball to the far up of the pitch to knock it back into a potential scorer. However, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim was hot on their heels, and rebounded that attempt back out into play. It was as if I had paused the game from the initial attempt for #Robben and pressed play from where he last had the ball. Again, far up to the end of the pitch and this time knocked the ball in sight for Robert Lewandowski to header that ball past the goalkeeper. Talk about, if at first you do not succeed, try try again. And it was yet another try, in comes #Arjen again, after that most of the start for second half was a rough and tumble of players fouling and having the ref. placing his mark, slightly chips it up over the goalies head with a gentle tap and it nudges it in. It was so subtle, it was seeing it in slow motion. Coming up to the end of first half, it was a sense of sympathy for #Hoffenheim, they had so many advantages with wide open chances for a goal. Manuel Neuer at one point needed not to be in the goal, which humiliated their miss. That even their own goalkeeper was just the same, arms up and fully in front of the ball. Sebastian Rode passed it through that keeper like a basketball net, making the second half for another round of scores. To top it off, as the commentator said, placed the icing on the cake, these extra 2 goals surely had nothing to do with Bastian Schweinsteiger sub appearance to pass their chances. It almost had been for a fifth goal with #Rode taking a shot again to hit the crossbar. Without any extra time, even though there was plenty of tackles to grant it, FC Bayern München had the game wrapped with a 4-0 win against The Hoffs....(wait a minute, The Hoff, has nothing to do with Knightrider I am sure?!)
