There was one point where the San Diego Chargers were widely considered to be the possessor of the league’s fanciest throwback jerseys. Boy does everyone love those powder blues, especially under the glimmer of the Southern California sun. Well move over bright blue cause the Redskins throwback jerseys that scream awesomeness will be worn this afternoon as part of the team’s Alumni Homecoming game against those same Chargers who aren’t honoring the days that VHS collections, Ataris and Ferris Bueller reigned supreme. What better way than to set/tie a few personal and franchise records than in jerseys that pay homage to our Redskins pride. –I’m going to keep regurgitating the one until it happens. With time, everything gets better. NFL Ironman London Fletcher is one of the greatest success stories in history—and that’s beyond the sports realm. If he gets an interception this afternoon he’ll tie Rich Milot for fourth-most in franchise history. –Just one for the third. Robert Griffin III needs just one more touchdown pass to have 30 for his young career. –This is DeAngelo Hall’s turf Philip Rivers. If Hall records two interceptions like he did last week, than he’ll have 24 as a member of the Redskins. It would tie the amazing Ken Houston for ninth-most in franchise history. –Basketball season is underway Ryan, don’t let anyone in mesh shorts show you up. If Ryan Kerrigan records a pick-six it’ll mark the first time in franchise history that a linebacker has recorded an interception for a touchdown in three consecutive seasons. –Make ‘em remember you forever, Santana. If Santana Moss gets a touchdown in today’s game he’ll tie Stephen Davis for tenth-most in franchise history with 48. With two touchdowns he’d tie former University of Miami/Redskins teammate Clinton Portis for ninth-most. He it’ll make up for last night shellacking. He needs 51 yards for 10,000 in his career, one pass for 700 career receptions and four two receptions to surpass Gary Clark for third-most (549) in franchise history.
