Well, the PA is nothing more than a tool of the Israeli occupation, so Benjamin Netanyahu - בנימין נתניהו himself may have been pushing for this vote in order to help give Mahmoud Abbas some street cred by looking like hes standing up for the Palestinian people when hes doing just the opposite. The only good that will come out of this will be increased attention to the illegal & seemingly endless Israeli occupation of Palestine.
