There was this woman (we will call her) Jane, who has a husband - TopicsExpress

There was this woman (we will call her) Jane, who has a husband who works. Along comes another man (We will call him) Bill, who is far more clever than her husband but is not a threat to her husbands position whatsoever. Bill is good at what he does and clever to go with it, and that brings him popularity but is still no threat to this womans husbands position. But in Janes jealously she creates suspicion and doubts about this person, she wants to see him gone. She doesnt see him as a help for her husband, and she doesnt see the good that many others do. To her this man Bill is not an asset, but a threat. All she sees is what her jealous filter before her eyes sees. Along comes another person (We will call him) Jack, who doesnt like Bills family. jack wants revenge for imagined sufferings. Jack tells the Janes family tales about Bill and Bills family. Now in normal situations these sorts of stories would be considered and most often cast away as vindictive and nasty, or gossip and trouble-making. But to this woman they were a boost to her suspicious mind, and a joy to someone who wants to find a reason to attack Bill. You see, she hears what she is eager to hear, she sees what she is eager to see - but none of that needs to be the truth, it just needs to be what she wants to hear to make her destructive creams come true. We must be weary of seeing people as Jane does here. This is a true story with the names changed. All the best from James M Sandbrook.
