There was very much a party atmosphere at Limpsfield CE Infants - TopicsExpress

There was very much a party atmosphere at Limpsfield CE Infants School when staff and pupils celebrated some significant achievements. Firstly, there was a blessing by Team Rector of Limpsfield and Tatsfield, the Rev James Percival, of a new area where teachers and students can sit and reflect - an oak bench made by local resident Barry Chandler. It is outside the school on National Trust land. The various inscriptions on the bench were chosen from words expressed by the children of each of the six classes at Limpsfield in response to the question of what a reflective seat meant to them. The bench blessing was attended by the chairman of Tandridge District Council Liz Parker and chairman of governors Ann Osbourn. Another achievement for Limpsfield Infants School was being awarded the Primary Geography Quality Gold Mark 2014 Award. Limpsfield is one of only 11 schools in the country to have been given this accolade in recognition of the schools ability to embed excellent and innovative geography throughout the school. The teachers, masterminded by Sue Fraser, are acknowledged for their ability to innovate and for the schools creative approach to stimulate learning and use real life issues to promote understanding.
