There were many movements came into the world. If we read history, we understand each movement took birth due to some or other cultural, social, economic, political context. Pentecostalism/charismatic movement also came into the church in the same way. However we need to remember few biblical warnings, like: - 1 Jn. 4:1 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 2 Tim. 3:1-3 - “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, - - -” 1 Tim. 4:1 – “Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, - - - ” Jude 1:18 – “They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.”
