There were some views and apprehensions expressed as to Why an Aadhaar or Ration Card is necessary for availing Farm Loan Waiver : If a person has taken a loan in some village/ Bank keeping his land as asset, HE SHOULD BE HAVING RATION CARD atleast...If not an AADHAAR CARD.!! Else how to make his identification? If both are not there, and he still have Loan account in the bank .... then it should be a ghost who has taken the loan? There are black sheep every where and this sector also is not clean of that. With the same Pattadhar pass book many loans have been taken. from different banks; the software developed by AP govt has identified many such instances. Recently 10 TV has telecast such story of Manchala Mandal in RR dist where Pattadhar pass books with the real signature of a suspended Thasildhar comes for just Rs. 2000/-!! So taking a loan with a fake Pattadhar pass book has become not so difficult operation. And with regard to Ration Card & Aadhar being asked; God only knows how many Fake ration cards are there in AP. So it is as simple. The same Land will be shown as asset in different banks / or even in the same Bank with the colluding of field officer or Manager and farm loans are taken. Ration card is needed to show WHO YOU ARE? But since Ration cards are become not so trusted tool, Aadhar cards are being asked for. This is only being done to weed out the fake accounts. If 5 Lakh plus account holders are not able to give Adhaar or Ration cards in Villages means..., see how the rot has spread..! It needs to weeded out.
