There were upsetting scenes in the local council offices today after violence broke out between rival councilors from Plumbridge and Cranagh. Fighting began after a heated debate over the naming of the new Supercouncil, due to replace the existing councils in April. The representatives from Cranagh were adamant that the new name should be Cranagh and Plumbridge Borough Council, whilst those from the Plum insisted on Plumbridge and Cranagh. The debate remained reasonably civilised until the representative for Lower Lislap, Walter Fudge, began singing the party song Rule Plumbritania loudly from the back of the chamber. This was met with a rendition of La Cranaillaise by the councilor for Goles Upper, Mr Fudges cousin Albert. Peace was restored by CSI officers who had been building snowmen in the carpark and a compromise name was reached. No arrests were made. The International United States of Plumbridge and Cranagh and Plumbridge so it is will take control of local government in the area on April Fools Day.
