There will be 5 special performances taking place at #borakarts. This includes- A special performance by the participants from the KAMS Connection will take place involving: i) Steve Goh (Malaysia) A Sabah native independent artist, Steve Goh, a dance graduate of The Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, upon returning from Europe as a freelance dancer, co-founded the Youth Studio of Dance and the JS Dance Theatre in 2004 and 2011 respectively. He has collaborated with choreographers from all over the globe – Rosalind Newman (NY), Pina Bausch (Germany), Natalie Weir (Aus), Tony Yap (Aus), Csaba Budday (Aus), Ng Teck Voon (Amsterdam), Helen Lai (HK), Ong Yong Lock (HK), Angela Liong (SG), and Chen Wei Ya (China), Lin Hwai Min (TW) – and also renowned Local Dance Companies. His most recent works are Almost Human (2014), Harmony in Oscillation (2014), Moving Bach (2014), Intertwined (2013) and Summer Snow (2013) presented by Toccata Studio. ii) Farah Shikeen (Malaysia) National Department for Culture and Art Artist who has performed at Festival Bon Odori, WARSFOLK International Folk Festival amongst others. iii) Dong Won (Korea) Choreographer Lee Dong-won majored in contemporary dance with the Dept. of Dance at Sungkyunkwan University, then completed the Interdisciplinary program in Performing Art Studies at the same university, and is under researching into the general studies of dance practice and performing art in the doctorate course for Interdisciplinary Program in Studies of Art at the same university. He is being active now as a senior dancer of Arzid Contemporary Dance Company and is under presenting an individuals choreography work with strongly convergence-based characteristic as One Dance Project Group. He is being positively active even in other genres(musical, non-verbal performance, theater, movie) along with developing movement in unique concept. He won the best prize at The 2nd Dance Collection for Seoul Performing Arts Festival and was invited to diversely domestic and overseas dance festivals in China, Singapore, and Japan after being selected ‘AYAF(ARKO Young Art Frontier)’ by Arts Council Korea from 2009 to 2010, thereby having been recognized quality of work. His work is being revealed as main characteristics such as an exploration of movement according to theme, application of impromptu action and experiment, mutual interchange action between dance and other medium. His artistic propensity of realizing as the correspondence among many components is receiving positive evaluation. Also, the harmonious convergence-based work propensity with other genres of being revealed in his work displays uniquely synergic effect and is proceeding with implementing with firm color peculiar to Lee Dong-won.
