There will be a meeting at VFW Post #56 in Leavenworth, Tuesday 9 July at 6:30. We will talk about the progress of how many wreaths have been sponsored, the groups and individuals who have come on board to assist thus far and some new volunteers that are wanting to get involved! We will also discuss the Ride for the Wounded motorcycle ride which is on the 13th of July beginning just a few doors down from the VFW. The proceeds to that goes to help Survivor Outreach Services on Ft. Leavenworth. SOS is a Army entity that assists fallen active duty military heroes families after the death and burial of their hero. Wreaths Across America Fort Leavenworth National location will be serving a breakfast that morning before the ride in which the proceeds of that breakfast go to support the WAA Ft Leav. National event and our local VFW. Please share this and if you are able or have expressed interest before this would be a good mtg. for you to attend. Message me with questions.
