There will be dark days. We are in a business that depends on your intensity and your ability to stay focused and energized every day and every week for months and even years at a time. This is impossible to do without losing it at some point. There are few other businesses where you constantly have to be on all the time with every client. Understand that eventually you will come to the point that you need to walk away for a week or even longer and simply stop burning energy. The important thing to remember is that when you lose focus and get drained you take everyone around you down with you. If the world around you depends on your ability to stay wired, then you have to take time for yourself that allows you to stay at the top of your abilities. Working through burnout only hurts you and your business and proves nothing. Always remember that you and your business are only as good as the energy you create each day.
