Closer to the Light, from Dart to the Heart Album My comment: I first heard this shortly after my brother died in 93...and I played it repeatedly then...and have often since. I also think of Mark Heard who passed away at a similar time (and for whom the song is written). I corresponded with Mark in the mid 80s about poetry & theology...His music sang in my soul as I walked across America...He was an artists artists who influenced many, but known by few. Bruces comments on his song: That was written addressed to the late Mark Heard who died recently. He was a fantastic songwriter.
