Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live. Romans 8:12-13 So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the One Who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death. But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit. Romans 7:4-6 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness? What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the Living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be My people. 2 Corinthians 6:14-16 Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Ephesians 5:8-10 This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5 Christ is the exact likeness of God, Who can’t be seen. He is first, and He is over all of creation. All things were created by Him. He created everything in heaven and on earth. He created everything that can be seen and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers and authorities. Everything was created by Him and for Him. Before anything was created, He was already there. He holds everything together. Colossians 1:15-17 “I assure you,” Jesus replied, “before Abraham was, I Am.” John 8:58 Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are their ancestors, and Christ Himself was an Israelite as far as His human nature is concerned. And He is God, the One Who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen. Romans 9:5 This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1 John 4:10 Then they asked Him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” John 6:28-29 biblegateway/passage/?search=Romans%208:12-13,%207:4-6,%202%20Corinthians%206:14-16,%20Ephesians%205:1-2,%208-10,%201%20John%201:5,%20Colossians%201:15-17,%20John%208:58,%20Romans%209:5,%201%20John%204:10,%20John%206:28-29&version=NIV;NLT
