Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 2 Corinthians 5:17. The key to this verse is what it means to to be in Christ. It is not simply claiming to love Jesus and believe there is a God. Scriptures tell us that even the demons believe in God, AND THEY TREMBLE! In Christ means that we are sold out and living according to His Word as it was written, not as we want it to read, that we are daily dying to self and allowing our true identity in Christ to come forth and be lived out in our lives! It means less of me, more of Him!
