Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. (Romans 5:1 NLT) "The bridge is out!" How many times have we seen old movies where the train or stagecoach or car is heading towards a deep ravine and the people see the bridge is down. We all hold our breath as they crash through the barriers and fly into the darkness... This is a great picture of life. All people are flying in the darkness towards their destruction. But there is hope. A bridge has been made between God and His creation. That bridge is Jesus. Placing our trust (leaning on, depending upon) in him connects us with God. And with that comes peace.
