Theres Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Then, theres Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Then, next year - guess what happens? Right: Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. Its like, whats that word? A routine. A predictable schedule, a cycle even... So, Im supposed to believe that the DC government did not, and could not predict this coming Winter? And either did not, or could not predict that there might be a need for housing resources THIS winter?! Not believing it. Dont buy it for a minute. They always act surprised when Winter comes, and theres ALWAYS a need for shelter, and theres ALWAYS elderly, disabled and/or poor people left reliant on the government for that shelter. Yet and still, they ALWAYS end up SURPRISED, AND UNPREPARED; Who suffers? Not the politicians who forgot, not the Social Service employees whose job it is to cater to those people, not the Administrators charged with the care of them, either. Ironically, its the ones who can least afford to suffer who suffer the most. Gee, if I didnt know any better, I might think thats intentional.
