Theres a big difference between an Indian Act chief and a Treaty - TopicsExpress

Theres a big difference between an Indian Act chief and a Treaty or hereditary okimaw.... no matter how much these Indian Act chiefs call themselves okimaw, all they are doing is muddying the Treaty waters. They are NOT Treaty okimawak as long as we are all under the Indian Act. As far as I know Treaty okimawak are very few and far between. If we are to transition away from the Indian act than those okimawak along with the okicitaw iskwewak will have to be in place according to the inherent structures of nehiyaw leadership. There... thats my vent.
